FPL Chip Planner

Fantasy Premier League's four chips are one-off tools — playing one at the wrong time can waste it for the season. Here's what each one does, and how Tactixity's season plan times them against your fixtures.

The four chips

How Tactixity times them

Chip timing depends on your specific fixtures — double gameweeks, blank gameweeks, and how your squad's fixture difficulty shifts across the season. Tactixity's Season Plan, part of the subscription, generates a chip timing plan for your own squad across the full season, alongside weekly captain, transfer and differential guidance.

No dedicated free chip tool exists yet — try the free captain and transfer scan instead, or see the subscription for full season chip planning.

Frequently asked questions

What are FPL's four chips?
Wildcard (unlimited free transfers for one gameweek, squad changes stay), Free Hit (unlimited free transfers for one gameweek only, your squad reverts after), Bench Boost (your bench players' points count for one gameweek), and Triple Captain (your captain scores triple instead of double for one gameweek).
When should I play a chip?
Timing depends on your fixtures, double gameweeks and blank gameweeks. Tactixity's Season Plan, part of the subscription, times each chip against the full season's fixture list for your squad.
Is there a free chip planner tool?
Not a dedicated one. Chip timing is part of Tactixity's subscription-only Season Plan. The homepage's free tools cover a one-time captain and transfer scan without an account.
